A firm fixture in the local golfing calendar, The Moortown GAC Golf Day will be held on Friday 15th July at Killymoon Golf Course. The event will raise funds to provide activity, changing and storage facilities at the club’s new 13 acre sports and community complex at Anneter Road, adjacent to Moortown Village, where two pitches, one with floodlighting, have already been developed.
Speaking on behalf of the St Malachys Annual Golf Day organising committee, Hugh McAleer, said: “We aim to give value for money. The entry fee of £130 per fourball includes green fees, on-course refreshments, a meal in Fairways Restaurant and team and individual prizes. This will be followed by music in Killymoon Golf Club lounge that evening.”
Members of the St Malachys annual golf day organising committee were joined at the launch by representatives from J& K Coaches, The Tile Shed and Lavery’s Bar.
Team entries, from both handicap and non-handicap players, are now open. Please contact Anne at 07544269201 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Tee-off times run in 10 minute slots from 9am.
