CLUB| Ruthless Kevin Barrys Into Last Four
Saturday 10.09.2016
Derrylaughan produced an outstanding display at Pearse Park in Galbally to ruthlessly put Cookstown to the sword and book their place in the last four of the Donnelly Vauxhall Intermediate championship.
It was a power packed performance from the Kevin Barrys who were full value for their 3-13 to 0-9 victory. Ciaran Quinn bagged two goals for the winners with Paul Donnelly getting their other goal while full forward Fergal McAliskey weighed in with five points. John Gilmore and Barry Potter got a couple each for Cookstown with Raymond Mulgrew and Martin Murray also on target but Derrylaughan always looked the likely winners from the moment Quinn got his second major two minutes after the break to put them seven in front.
Ciaran Gervin, Liam Gervin and Caolan Hughes all scored two points each for the winners and there is no doubt that they will take a bit of beating regardless of who their semi final opponents are.
