Tattyreagh are through to the Junior championship final after overcoming Clann na Gael 0-13 to 0-8 at Garvaghey on Tuesday evening. The winners led 0-7 to 0-3 at the break with Joe Cartin and James Darcy among their points, Stephen O’Neill and Paul Gormley on target for Clann na Gael.
A couple of Darcy frees stretched that advantage on the restart and when Gareth Mimnagh fisted over the bar the gap was up to six. Micheal O’Neill though kept Clann na Gael in touch with impressive corner back Niall O’Neill getting forward to register as well. With time running out only three points separated the two sides but Tattyreagh weren’t to be denied with Sean Gormley splitting the posts and Darcy taking his personal haul to 0-7 as they set up a final meeting with Rock.
