Comprehensive Derby Win For CBS

Omagh CBS opened their MacRory Cup campaign in style at Garvaghey on Monday afternoon when they had a comprehensive 2-15 to 0-8 win over a disappointing St.Patrick’s Academy Dungannon side. The winners had the wind at their backs in the first half and they led 0-11 to 0-4 at the break with James Darcy, Aidan Fullerton, Gavin Slane, Aidan McSorley and keeper Patrick O’Neill among their points, Cormac O’Hagan with three frees for the Academy with midfielder Colin Campbell their only scorer from play.
the expected Dungannon comeback in the second half never materialised as Omagh continued to dominate and when corner forward Andrew McGrath found the net in the seventh minute it was all over. Mark Donnelly was the only Dungannon forward to score from play on the day with half back Liam Rafferty landing a superb score as well but a second McGrath major put the icing on the cake for the Brothers.
