Kyle Coney has decided to retire from Inter County football. The talented Ardboe club man made the announcement this week. He was a key member of the Red Hands side that defeated Mayo in the All Ireland minor final in 2008 after a replay, hitting 0-5 in a man of the match display, and was quickly drafted into the senior squad.

He won Ulster senior championship medals in 2009 and 2010 and after a short spell in the AFL with Sydney Swans he returned to the Tyrone fold again. One of the highlights of his senior career was hitting 0-9 in an outstanding display away to Cork in the National League in 2014 and after leaving the panel again for a few seasons he returned in 2018. His last performance in a Tyrone jersey was against Mayo in the National league last Autumn when he came on as a substitute. He still has plenty to offer Ardboe and everyone at TTM wish him all the best for the future.
