Tyrone Hurler’s got their league campaign off to a winning start on Saturday with a convincing victory over Lancashire at Abbotstown.
Early points from Damian Casey and Bryan Mc Gurk gave Tyrone the perfect start before a fine Mc Gurk goal put them five clear. The teams swapped scores as a Ronan Crowley finally got Lancashire up and going but Tyrone ace Casey replied with a brace of his own.
Casey then hit the net for Tyrone as the Red Hands built up an impressive 2-9 to 0-3 half time lead.
Tyrone found scores slightly harder to come by after the break but Tiernan Morgan, Damian Casey, Ciaran Lagan and Ryan Mc Kiernan were all among the points as Mattie Lennon’s side made the perfect start to their league campaign to finish 2-17 to 0-10 winners.
