Cookstown And Brackaville Make The Drop

The two sudden death relegation playoff games on Sunday afternoon went the way of the visitors as Eskra and Killeeshil overcame Cookstown and Brackaville respectively. Joe McCarroll and Peter Hughes notched four points each as the Emmetts deservedly won at Paddy Cullen Park. Barry Hughes hit four points for the Father Rocks with Raymond Mulgrew getting a brace but they will be back in Intermediate football for 2015 after losing 0-13 to 0-10. Eskra now await the winners of the Trillick v Derrylaughan division two play off.
At O’Brien Park Killeeshil came with a late rally to edge past Brackaville on a 0-14 to 2-6 score line. Paddy Gervin and Gary Ferguson got the goals for the Roes but points from Gary Reilly, Aaron McKenna, Rory McCann and Shane Mallon saw the visitors through were they will face division three playoff winners Tattyreagh.
