Tyrone and Ulster champions Errigal Ciaran got their 2025 league campaign of on a winning note when a strong second half display saw them beat Pomeroy at Plunkett Park on Friday evening in the first game played in the top flight this season. The visitors only led by the minimum margin at the interval with Tomas Mullin, Bryan Horisk, Eoin Kelly, Peter McGoldrick, Ryan Loughran and Ronan Duffin providing points for their respective sides. In the second half the visitors assumed control to run out 0-18 to 0-7 winners. Dara McGinley and Pauric Traynor both hit a brace each while Tommy Canavan came off the bench to score 0-5.
