Helping neighbours in their time of need is a sign of generosity above and beyond the call of duty and deserves applause and recognition. Over recent years Tyrone men have shown themselves to be generous both in spirit and in action helping out their colleagues in the Oak Leaf County when the need or opportunity arose.

They have been increasingly involved in the management/coaching set up of the Derry senior football team over the past decade with men like Brian Mc Ivor, Paddy Tally, Conal Sheridan and Eoin Bradley all having played a key role in recent years in the development of the Derry senior football team.

That trend looks set to continue with the recent appointment of Damien Barton as the team’s new senior manager. The former county player is employed full time as a teacher in St Patrick’s School in Dungannon where he works along with Edendork footballer and Coalisland coach Brian Mc Guckin. Barton knows Mc Guckin well and has decided to take the flame haired forward on board as part of his coaching team.

Joining Mc Guckin will be fellow Tyrone man and strength and conditioning expert Eoin Bradley of Killyclogher. The tenacious defender whose club side recently made it through to the senior county final has been making a name for himself in strength and conditioning circles having worked with the Tyrone Hurling set up and the successful Slaughtneil club side in Derry.
