COUNTY | Minor Footballers Record Win Over Donegal
Tyrone Minor Footballer travelled to Ballybofey on Saturday afternoon and recorded a two point win over their neighbours and in doing so keep their push for a semi League final spot. The Red Hands had trailed 0-4 to 0-6 but started the second half with 2-4 without reply. Two quick points from the boot of Emmett McNabb after the short whistle drew Tyrone level.
Tyrone kept up the early second half pressure and a short time later Edendork’s Paul Donaghy snapped onto a poor Donegal kick out to find the net for Tyrone. They did’t ease up and they hit Donegal for another 1-2 without reply. First McNabb pointed from a free before Jude Campbell punched the ball to the net. Substitute Ryan Gray then fired another point for Tyrone before Donegal finally got off the mark thanks to a goal from Eoghan McGettigan. Two Jason McGee points and another effort from Niall O’Donnell closed the gap to two points but the Red Hands hung on to record their second victory of the campaign.
