Teamtalk has learned today that the Tyrone Minor Football Management job is being contested by Omagh man Ciaran McBride, and a joint bid from Trillick’s Iggy Gallagher and Moortown’s Paul Devlin. It is believed that interviews were conducted by the Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, last years county minor liaison officer and a member of the county committee.

The recommended management team for the job are expected to be made known to the county management committee on Tuesday night. Ciaran McBride has been involved with County minor management in the past with Monaghan while he has coached a number of successful sides with Omagh CBS. Paul Devlin has enjoyed tremendous success in recent years with his own club and only this season he guided them to back to back grade one minor doubles. Iggy Gallagher has also done great work at underage level within his own club while he has been involved in Tyrone development squads in the past and is currently involved with the newly formed Tyrone Academy.
