Tyrone made it two wins from two in the Allianz National League when they were two point winners over Galway at Pearse Stadium in Salthill on Sunday afternoon, 1-11 to 1-9 the final score line.

Defender Liam Silke put the hosts in front in the first attack of the game but in the 12^th minute Tyrone took a lead that they were never to lose when a shot from Conor Meyler was blocked and the ball ricocheted off Tiernan McCann and into the net. Darren McCurry, Ronan O’Neill, Rory Brennan and Connor McAliskey tagged on points as Tyrone took a grip on proceedings. Approaching halftime though Galway hit back with three frees from the boot of Eddie Hoare to leave it 1-6 to 0-5 at the break.

Galway lost midfielder Paul Conroy to a second yellow card early in the second half and Tyrone turned the screw with points from Sean Cavanagh, Lee Brennan and Mark Bradley. Tyrone were eight points clear with less than ten minutes to go but Galway hit back with points from Eamon Brannigan and a Damien Comer goal. Right at the end Tyrone keeper Niall Morgan denied Shane Walsh a goal.
