Tyrone’s hopes of winning the Ulster minor league title were dashed by a last minute goal as Donegal took the silverware in a cracking encounter at Maghera, 3-9 to 1-13 the final score line. The winners missed a number of chances throughout the game and it looked as though they were going to pay when a Daniel Kerr goal levelled matters with five minutes to go. An Emmett McNabb free then edged Tyrone in front but in the closing stages Donegal defender Aidan McLaughlin proved to be the match winner when he blasted to the top left hand corner of the net. Paul Donaghy, Cahir Goodwin, Matthew McGleenan, Kerr and McNabb were among the points for the Red Hands on the day.
