Crucial Wins for Rock and Galbally

Rock St Patrick’s hosted Urney in All County league Division 2 tonight and came away with a seven point win to keep the pressure on Edendork at the top of the table.
Elsewhere Galbally are pushing hard for a playoff place following an impressive eight point away win over neighbours Pomeroy.
Galbally have been showing good form of late and seem to have timed their run perfectly with the championship just around the corner. Three points separated the sides at the break as Galbally led 0-5 to 0-2 with their scores coming courtesy of Paul Rafferty 0-2 and a point each from Micky Murphy, James Murphy and James Lennon.
Galbally continued their dominance in the second half and restricted Pomeroy to three points from Mark Mc Kenna, Hugh Pat Mc Geary and Kieran Mc Geary while Paul Rafferty, Micky Murphy, Ryan Mc Gurk and Kieran Mc Crory were among the second half scorers for the Pearses.
