Galbally remain top of the table following a comfortable win at home to Omagh. The Pearses laid the foundations for their victory in the first half as they bagged both of their goals while restricting their opponents to just three points. Daniel Kerr and Ronan Nugent got their majors with Oisin McGee, Mark Donnelly and John Hetherington among their points, Thomas Haigney with a brace for the St.Endas. Omagh improved in the second half but the damage was done despite points from Ronan O’Neill, Enda McCaffrey and Conor O’Donnell, Conor Donaghy and Donnelly responding for the winners.
Coalisland secured a much needed win at home to local rivals Clonoe. An early Paul Corr goal meant that the Fianna shaded the opening half at Father Campbell Park with Sean L Corr, Cormac O’Hagan, Connor McAliskey and Danny McNulty providing points for their respective sides. Clonoe got their noses in front in the second half thanks to points from McAliskey and Daryl Magee but efforts from Sean McNally and Sean L Corr levelled the match before the latter won it in injury time.
Goals proved to be key as Dungannon took the spoils from their short trip to play neighbours Donaghmore. The Clarkes struck for an early goal through Paul Donaghy but Donaghmore responded with points from Tom Grimes, Noah Grimes and Ronan Cassidy. Conor McKee and Donaghy had Dungannon points before a goal from Ryan Jones had them in front at the break. Lorcan Quinn and Cassidy exchanged second half points with Donaghy and McKee on a night when the goals ultimately proved to be the difference between the two sides.
Eglish are still looking for their first points of the campaign after Pomeroy took the spoils from their trip to Connolly Park. A Hugh McNamee major enabled the Plunketts to lead at the break, Ethan Jordan, Seamus Muldoon, Ronan Duffin and Leo Quinn among the points for their respective clubs. Turlough Muldoon kicked a couple of second half points for the hosts but Duffin and McGeary replied for the visitors and while Colm Byrne notched a late goal it came too late to save Eglish.
It finished all square between Edendork and Loughmacrory with the home side scoring three points late on to earn a share of the spoils. The visitors led by double scores at the break with Dara Curran finding the net and Pauraic Meenagh among their points, Darren McCurry and Ben Cullen on target for the St.Malachys. Niall Morgan got a third quarter goal but Loughmacrory responded with points from Curran and Meenagh and they looked set for victory until late scores from McCurry and Conn Kilpatrick.
