Trillick may have lost their last game in the regular league season when neighbours Dromore took the points at Donnelly Park but the St.Macartans still finished top of the table and therefore are through to the league final. Mattie Donnelly and Lee Brennan hit 0-7 between them for the hosts with Charlie Donnelly also on target but Dromore keeper Mark McGale and Niall Sludden weighed in with 0-9 while Peter Teague got a brace as well for the St.Dympnas.
Dungannon hosted Errigal Ciaran at O’Neill Park with second place the prize on offer and it was the visitors who came out on top for a result that means that they will now be at home to the Clarkes in the league semi final. Darragh Canavan and Ronan O’Sullivan got the goals for the winners with Canavan and Peter Harte hitting a dozen points between them. Paddy Quinn got both Dungannon goals as well as a few points with James Quinn landing a number of scores and Dalaigh Jones also on target.
Pomeroy were at home to Loughmacrory in a game were there was something at stake at both ends of the table but while the St.Theresas came out on top Errigal Ciaran’s win meant that they miss out on the title playoffs. Ruairi McCullagh, Cathal Donaghy and Shane Dobbs were among the points for the winners with Kieran McGeary, Ronan Duffin and Hugh McNamee responding for a Pomeroy side who now host Gortin in a sudden death playoff game.
Moortown got the win that they required to ensure that they wouldn’t be sucked into the playoffs when they had a comfortable success away to a Derrylaughan side who have finished bottom of the table. Shea Lawn led the way in the scoring stakes for the St.Malachys with a goal and a few points with Matthew Conlon and Tarlach Quinn on target as well. Adam Cushnahan, Andre Devlin and Danny Ball were the marksmen for a Derrylaughan side who are destined for a quick return to Intermediate football unless they win the championship.
Sean Og McAleer proved to be the Gortin hero with a late winner at home to Carrickmore but the result didn’t change the picture for the St.Patricks as they finished second bottom. McAleer top scored for the home side with Odhran Brolly getting their all-important goal and Darragh Ward featuring among the points. Aidan Woods got the Carrickmore goal with Jonny Munroe and Lorcan McGarrity hitting 0-7 between them.
Galbally ended their run of results without a win when they came out on top on their travels to Killyclogher. Eoghan O’Neill and Sean Hughes got a goal in each half for the Pearses with Daniel Kerr grabbing a few points. Oran Toal and Mattie Howe were among the points for Killyclogher with Patrick Corcoran their goal scorer.
Edendork made home advantage count when edging past the challenge of Omagh. Stephen Corr was in outstanding form for the St.Malachys with 1-12 to his name with Conor Mallon jun and James Fearon providing points as well. Ronan O’Neill top scored for the St.Endas with 1-5 with Jason McAnulla getting their other goal and Tom Donaghy grabbing a couple of points.
Donaghmore finished their league campaign with a good win away to Ardboe. The twin threat of Ronan Cassidy and Ryan Cush weighed in with 0-9 between them with Cormac Drayne getting a few as well. Shay McGuigan weighed in with 0-5 for the Rossas with Cormac organ getting a brace and Eoghan Devlin scoring the only goal of the game.
