As if we didn’t already know about how competitive Division one football is in Tyrone it was there for all to see on Monday evening with the results of all three games being decided in injury time.
A James Garrity goal coupled with points from Lee Brennan, Nathan Farry and Rory Brennan had Trillick within touching distance of victory at Father Campbell Park with time running out. The Fianna refused to throw in the towel and with Cormac O’Hagan in superb scoring form (0-9) and Sean L Corr also on target they hit back to level before Tiernan Quinn won it from an injury time free.
Donaghmore looked set for victory at home to Killyclogher but in the end they had to make do with a point after the visitors had fought back. Fergal Donaghy and Noah Grimes had scores for the St.Patricks with Conor Cush in unstoppable form with 0-13 to his name. Gavin Potter got both Killyclogher goals with Mark Hayes and Oran Toal among their points with the latter punishing a breach with a two point conversion deep into injury time.
Dungannon played host to Dromore with both sides chasing their first points and it was the visitors who prevailed but it could just have easily went the other way. Paudie Dillon top scored for the St.Dympnas with Nathan McCarron and Brian Gallagher also on target. Paul Donaghy, Paddy Quinn and James Morgan had scores for the Clarkes and it looked as though the latter had won it until late points from Dillon and Gallagher.
