Two goals from Tiernan Sludden helped ensure that Dromore maintained their perfect start to their campaign with a win at home to Coalisland on Thursday night. Ronan McNabb, Peter Teague and Odhran Rafferty were among the points for the St.Dympnas with Cormac O’Hagan, Bailey Leonard and Ruairi McHugh on target for the Fianna.
The game of the round saw Loughmacrory and Killyclogher go head to head and it was the St.Theresas who came out on top. Pauraic Meenagh and Gareth Donaghy got their goals with Cathaoir Gallagher and Shane Dobbs among their points while Mark Bradley top scored for the visitors with Conall McCann and Dara Hayes also on target.
Greencastle and Moortown collected their first points off the campaign following a stalemate. A John McCullagh goal had Greencastle in front at the break and the same player landed a number of points as did Cahir McCullagh. Shea Lawn top scored for the St.Malachys with his haul including a late equaliser while Peter Devlin and Paul Quinn also supplied points.
Donaghmore returned to winning ways with a hard earned win at Ardboe. Noah Grimes and Ronan Cassidy bagged the goals in the first half and both players were also among the points as were Cormac McCann and Ryan Cush. Kyle Coney and Shay McGuigan contributed 0-8 between them for the Rossas with Jack Martin and Conan Devlin getting their names on the scoresheet as well.
Carrickmore just did enough to hold off the challenge of neighbours Galbally on home soil. The hosts got a great start with an Aidan Fullerton goal but a Cormac Donnelly major left the Pearses in front at the break. Martin Penrose kicked a number of points for the winners with substitute Mark Donnelly finding the net but goals from Liam Rafferty and Conor Donaghy left the contest on a knife edge to the end.
Edendork are still looking for their first points off the season after losing away to Trillick. Lee Brennan led the way in the scoring stakes for the St.Macartans with 0-7 to his name with Ciaran Daly, James Garrity and Liam Gray all on target as well. Ben Cullen, James Fearon and Rian Nelis were among the scorers for the St.Malachys.
Eglish made it three wins in a row when they had two points to spare over Omagh at Connolly Park. Ryan Donnelly got the goal for the St.Patricks with Dillion Horsfield, Luke Donnelly and Ethan Jordan contributing points. John Kerr scored Omagh’s goal with Ronan O’Neill, Finbarr Taggart and Callum Daly getting points.
