D1 Wednesday Wrap Up

There were three crucial games in Division one on Wednesday evening and they resulted in wins for Greencastle, Edendork and Omagh over Galbally, Donaghmore and Moortown respectively.
The win for Greencastle at Pearse Park was enough to lift them off the foot off the table. Cahir McCullagh kicked five points for the visitors with Mark Carson getting a few while the experienced Enda Clarke made a telling contribution when coming off the bench to score 1-1. That goal put the visitors in front just minutes after Christopher Morris had found the net for the Pearses. Conor Donaghy, Barry Carberry and Marc Lennon with Galbally points.
Edendork won by the exact same scoreline at Father Devlin Park against Donaghmore. Darren McCurry was once again in sparkling form for the St.Malachys with 0-8 to his name with one of those points coming from a penalty. Niall Morgan got the all important goal for the visitors with Stephen Corr also on the scoresheet. Ronan Cassidy top scored for the hosts with 0-5 to his name with Cormac McCann hitting a brace and Thomas McGuigan getting their goal.
Moortown let a seven point lead at the break slip as they lost at home to Omagh on a 0-16 to 2-8 scoreline. Blaine Ryan and Shea Lawn scored the Moortown goals with Ryan Kelly and Tarlach Quinn featuring among their points. Ronan O’Neill and Conan Grugan landed a number of points between them for the St.Endas.
