The champagne corks were popping in Naomh Eoghan on Friday night as they secured the Intermediate league title and with it a place in senior football for 2027 after beating nearest rivals Owen Roes at home. It was a 14^th straight win for the champions who will attempt to complete a perfect league season at Killeeshil on Sunday afternoon. They led 0-9 to 0-5 at the break with Aidan McSorley, Conal McConomy and Conor Langan among their points, Adam Coyle, Stephen Kelly and Conall McCormack on target for Owen Roes. The visitors closed the gap to the minimum on the restart thanks to a Cathal McShane brace and one from Conn Tinney. Ryan Mayse though came off the bench to make a significant impact with four of their five second half points. The visitors rallied with injury time orange flags from Coyle and Ryan McAleer but Naomh Eoghan held out to deservedly win the title.

There was a dramatic finish at Aghaloo as Harry Loughran sent over an equaliser for the hosts for a score that kept alive their survival hopes going into the last round of games. It was level pegging at the break with Tiarnan Donnelly getting half a dozen points for Aghaloo and Niall McElroy a couple, Conor McGarrity with three for Rock and Martin Watrd also on target. McElroy and Oliver Sheery traded points with Diarmaid Carroll and Shane Murphy on the restart before Darren McAnesie got an Aghaloo goal. Back came Rock to lead through Murphy but Loughran had the final say.

Pomeroy made the trip to Greencastle and returned home with the points. Ronan Duffin and Hugh J Cunningham got the goals for the Plunketts with Ryan McCallan, Jude Campbell and Kevin Armstrong among their points. Mark Carson top scored for Greencastle with Joe Warnock and Dan Tuohey also among their points and Sean Warnock bagging their goal.

Goals proved decisive for Killeeshil as they won away at Drumquin for a result that sees them climb above their opponents and leave the Wolfe Tones in third from bottom spot. Luke Donnelly (2) and Eoin Neill got the Killeeshil goals with Michael O’Neill landing half a dozen points and Michael Carty also on target. Sean McDonagh, Oisin Gormley, Oisin McMenamin and Cormac Rodgers all supplied points for the Wolfe Tones.
