Gortin require just a point in their last game to win the Intermediate league title after they edge the verdict here at home to Beragh. Liam Og Mossey was in splendid form with 1-9 to his name with Sean Og McAleer and Cormac Bradley also on target. As expected Conor Owens led the charge for the Red Knights with 0-11 but it wasn’t enough for the visitors despite an Oisin Donnelly goal.
Moortown are two points off the pace after they won away to Moy. Shea Lawn and Tarlach Quinn both found the net for the St.Malachys with Paul Quinn and Lawn also among the points. Ryan Conroy got the Moy goal with Matthew Laverty, Eoin McGeary and Ran Coleman all notching points.
One point in their last two games has cost Aghyaran a real shot at the title after they were held at home by a Fintona side who ensured their safety with this result. Ronan McHugh once again top scored for the St.Davogs with Brian Penrose and Caolan McGinnity providing points as well. Aaron McCarney, Pauric Kelly and Oran Hughes had points for the Pearses with McCarney also bagging the only goal of the game.
Naomh Eoghan are another club who are safe with one round of games to go after they had the minimum to spare at home to Owen Roes. Eoin Devine, Eamon McGovern, Kevin Gallagher and Aidan McSorley were among the points for the winners with Cathal McShane, Tony Devine, Niall McAleer and Conor O’Neill the Owen Roes’ marksmen.
Kildress are another side who got the result that they required when they proved too strong for Derrylaughan at Gortacladdy. Shea Quinn was in outstanding form for the Wolfe Tones with a personal haul of 0-11with Phillip Lennon getting their goal and Aidan McAleer and Corey Holland among their points. Tomas Carney top scored for the Kevin Barrys with half a dozen points with Stevie Quinn and Ciaran O’Hagan also on target.
Stewartstown were the 4th side on the night to move onto the safety of thirteen points with victory over Clogher. Dan Lowe hit 2-6 for the Harps with Kyran Robinson, Conor Quinn and Tiernan Rushe all getting their names on the scoresheet as well. Ryan McCaughey and Mark Bogue were among the scorers for the Eire Ogs.
Cookstown’s hopes of getting out of the relegation playoffs will go down to the last game after they were well beaten away to Greencastle. Dan Tuohey and Cahir McCullagh got the goals for the winners with Sean Warnock, Ryan Gumley, Gavin Slane and Tierman Teague all supplying points. Keegan Hampsey, John Gilmore and Tommy McGuigan were the Father Rocks marksmen.
Rock returned to winning sways when they had the minimum to spare over Drumragh away from home. Shea Daly got their goal with Liam Nugent, Thomas Mackle and Shane Murphy all weighing in with points. Daniel O’Neill hit 1-2 for the Sarsfields with Eoin Montgomery, Alex McGlinchey and Kian Murphy supplying points as well.
