Galbally completed the championship and league double but they were made to work hard for their four point success at Pearse Park against Cookstown. The Father Rocks were the better side for most of the first half with Matthew Carberry and Martin Murray among their points but Galbally went in level thanks to scores from Sean Murphy and Liam Rafferty. Conor Donaghy came off the bench to hit five second half points with Daniel Kerr and Mickey Murphy also on target and while Murray and John Gilmore replied for the visitors it was the hosts who came out on top.
They will be joined in division one next season by Pomeroy after the Plunketts beat Greencastle on Saturday and Loughmacrory slipped yup twenty four hours later. Ryan Loughran, Ronan Lagan, Olly McCreesh and Kieran McGeary were among the points for the hosts with Sean Fox getting the Greencastle goal.
With time running out in Beragh it was Loughmacrory who looked set for automatic promotion but a late Jack Campbell goal changed all that as the Red Knights prevailed by the minimum margin. Oisin Donnelly and Peter Meenagh contributed 0-7 between them for the winners with Shane Grimes getting the Loughmacrory goal and Diarmuid Gallagher and Pauric Meenagh featuring among their points.
Warner Mullen bagged the only goal of the game and midfielder Ruairi Gormley weighed in with five points as Strabane drew away to Augher. Darragh Kavanagh top scored for the St.Macartans with five points while Dara Donnelly wasn’t far behind him with four.
Gortin will feature in the forthcoming promotion playoffs after having a narrow win at home to a Clogher side who will also be involved. Ciaran Brolly got both goals for the winners while Sean Og McAleer weighed in with five points. Ryan McCaughey got the Clogher goal as well as a number of points with Ciaran Shields, Marc McConnell and Sean McCaffrey also on target.
Moortown got the better off Newtownstewart in a high scoring encounter at the Loughshore. Karl Hagan got two goals for the winners with Stephen Spiers also finding the net while Peter Devlin, Brian McLernon and Ryan Kelly had points. Aodhan McNamee and Eoin Donnelly scored the goals for the visitors with Aidan McSorley and Brendan Boyle among the points for them.
Owen Roes are another side who will feature in the promotion playoffs and they signed off from the regular season with a comfortable victory at home to Stewartstown. Ronan McNulty and Cathal McShane got the goals for the home side with Seamus Dooher, Ryan McShane and Ryan McAleer all supplying points. Paul Dillion got 1-2 for the Harps with Niall Dillion their other goal scorer.
