D2 Wrap Up

There were only two games in Division two this weekend and they resulted in a win for Beragh while Greencastle and Fintona ended in a stalemate. The Red Knights proved too strong for Kildress at home with Callum Corrigan bagging the only goal of the game. It was in the second half that the home side made their dominance count on a night when Martin Rodgers hit a trio of two pointers with Oisin Donnelly, Conor Owens, Oran Treacy, Fiachra Donnelly and Sean McCann all on target as well. Shea Quinn led the way in the scoring stakes for the Wolfe Tones with an impressive 0-10 to his name with Adam Connolly and Caolan McNamee their other marksmen.
It finished all square between Greencastle and Fintona with Mark Carson converting a last gasp two point free to rescue the home side. John McCullagh top scored on the night with an impressive haul of 0-9 with five of those coming from play. Eoghan Hegarty got the goal for the Pearses with Peter McGlinn, Jared Brogan and Aidan Donnelly all contributing two points each.
