| Cream of Colleges GAA Handball take centre-stage. |
Following the Inter-varsities All Ireland championships last weekend, the cream of the Colleges Handball scene will take centre-stage in the weekend ahead as the GAA Handball All Ireland 40×20 championships go ahead. Much of the country’s brightest young handballing talent will converge on Kingscourt and Curraghboy as the challenge for 2011 glory will begin.
Kingscourt, Cavan, will again play host to the majority of grades this Saturday, bringing almost the entire event to one venue in what should be a terrific handball occasion, while Curraghboy will host a terrific Intermediate doubles programme and a Girls senior doubles semi-final. The Boys Senior Colleges Singles championship promises to be an absolute cracking affair as Tyrone’s Caolan Daly, representing Dean Maguirc College, and Galway’s Martin Mulkerrin’s, representing St. Mary’s College, have won the last two All Ireland Minor Singles championships between them. |
