Damian Casey is enjoying another wonderful season to date in 2015 and his exploits have been recognised by winning the Ulster GAA writers award [UGGWA] for March. The twenty one year old Eoghan Ruadh  clubman hit a hugely impressive 0-31 in three games during the past month as Tyrone topped the NHL D3A table.

He has been playing senior county hurling with Tyrone for four years and captained the team in 2014 to win the Nicky Rackard Cup. Apart from that medal he has collected two SHC and three SHL honours with his club and has played with UUJ in the Fitzgibbon Cup.

As well as his reward Damian also receives an engraved Belleek Living Vase, engraved silver cuff links from Carlingford Design House, training gear from O’Neill’s Sportswear and two tickets, plus overnight accommodation, for the UGAAWA 28th annual banquet, to be held at the Great Northern Hotel, Bundoran, on 13th November 2015.  The presentation was made at McAleer’s Bar in Dungannon on Easter Tuesday.

Damian of course has already made the perfect start to April scoring nine points last weekend as Tyrone won the NHL D3A title at the expense of Ulster neighbours Monaghan.
