“Tuesday 18th : Today we had a short training session early in the morning to get the legs opened up again. After that we packed up and headed for Perth… a four hour plane journey highlighting the sheer size of Australia. Mattie made a fool of the rest of us today leaving his passport in his suitcase… he was almost hit with a fine but then we were told that they weren’t needed. We arrived at our hotel in Perth and food before the Tyrone boys headed off to the gym. We found the Mayo boys already there and the Donegal boys followed up shortly afterwards. The ping pong table has kept us fairly occupied with ‘Jinking Ja Fallon’ hard to stop when he gets going. Tony Scullion typifies the Ulster negativity by his constant tapping back over the net. As much as it is great to be in Perth today was not an overly adventurous one. Hopefully I will have more to report tomorrow.”
