Dean Maguirc College Into Next Round

Dean Maguirc College, Carrickmore eased into the next round of the Tyrone U14 Vocationals competition following a 6-10 to 3-8 victory over St John’s Business and Enterprise College, Dromore at Gardrum Park on Tuesday. The Dean now play Sacred Heart College Omagh in the next round of the competition while St John’s face St Eugene’s High School Castlederg in the next round of the qualifiers. A strong performance in the first half was the reason for the Dean boys’ success with a good strong team performance being key to their victory. St John’s battled well in the second half with Cathal Starrs, Pauric Quinn, Niall McGinn and Gavin Teague working hard in defence and Des McLaughlin, Cathair McGovern and Emmett McNabb doing well for Dromore up front.
