Tyrone Minors suffered a heavy defeat tonight in Brewster Park when they lost 3-10 t0 1-09 to a fine Fermanagh side. Tyrone actually scored 1-2 of their total in the last three minutes of a hugely disappointing display. Tyrone are now out of contention for this year’s Ulster Minor League and will now compete in the Plate competition. The Red Hands began well and were 0-5 to 0-2 in front at the end of the opening quarter with Mark Bradley, John Loughran and defender Stephen Kelly among their points. The home side fought back though and a Ryan Lyons goal enabled them to lead 1-5 to 0-6 at halftime. Enda McGahan reduced the deficit to the minimum on the resumption but they failed to score again until the last minute of normal time. Fermanagh on the other hand had two goals from Eddie Courtney and by the time Tyrone’s major arrived through Aidan McGarrity it only served to put a slightly better look on the scoreboard.

Tyrone scorers – Aidan McGarrity 1-0, Enda McGahan 0-2, Ryan Maise 0-1, Mark Bradley 0-1, Ryan Devlin 0-1, Conor Mallon 0-1, John Loughran 0-1, Stephen Kelly 0-1, Sean Molloy 0-1
