ACL | Derg Move Three Clear At Top
Friday 03.07.2015
Castlederg moved three points clear at the top of Division Three following Thursday night’s hard fought derby win over Dregish.
There was little between the sides in the first half but profligacy in front of goals cost the Derg dearly as their ten wides allowed Dregish to reach the break 0-4 to 0-3 in front. Brian Coyle, Sean Harper and Bradley Devine were on target for the Derg while Pete Mc Crossan and Stephen Breen landed points for Dregish.
The second half saw Castlederg outscore their opponents 1-5 to 0-4 with ace marksman Mark Corry getting the all important goal in his return of 1-2. Sean Harper (0-2) and Paddy Porter(0-1) were also on target while Stefan Gallen, Aiden Lynch and Brian Coyle were on top form for the winners. Dregish, who were short five regulars also hit their share of wides over the hour but had scores from David O’Reilly, Cathal Rodgers, Stephen Breen and Pete Mc Crossan.
Final score 1-8 to 0-8 for Castlederg.
