U17 Session Dates
Below are the dates that the squad will be training throughout the year. Most sessions are on Saturday however we realise that on weekends of Senior / Reserve fixtures your focus will be with your club team. Therefore sessions will be on a Monday night (traditionally Tyrone Minors train this night thus causing as little disruption to club activities as possible).
Saturday sessions tend to be in the morning but those times depend on availability of the pitch and are finalised a week before the session. Please ensure to check the www.tyronegaa.ie website / Facebook Page/ Twitter Feed in the days leading up to each session for final details.
Please note that these dates do not include S&C sessions or matches against other teams. There will also be the opportunity to add more sessions when the club season is finished.

Rules of the Development Squad

As a player of the Tyrone Development Squads you will expect a high level of professionalism from both your coaches and fellow players. In return, the coaches feel that the following rules are of critical importance to ensure that players and coaches alike are fully aware of their roles and responsibilities as part of the Development Squads.

1. Players must attend ALL squad sessions. In the event of a player missing 2 sessions in a row or three over the course of the season, they will lose their place on the squad and be replaced with another player. If a player is unable to attend a session for whatever reason they must let their coach know 24 hours in advance or ASAP.
NB: The regional S&C sessions organised by S&C Coaches are a critical part of this programme and the same rules apply.

2. Players are to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to training with all necessary gear / training gear and to be on the pitch ready to begin session at the allocated time.

3. If a player is injured or cannot participate in the session they are fully expected to attend and watch.

4. As Development Squad sessions for the year are already scheduled, players are expected to keep their club and school coaches informed of our session dates to avoid sessions being planned for the same time.

5. Players must embrace the importance of S&C work / flexibility sessions. If through testing, it becomes apparent that a player is not carrying out the required programme, the player will lose their place on the squad. This work is of paramount importance.

6. Players must bring their Folder with them to every session. Players are expected to keep their folders up to date at all times as they will be lifted for inspection.

7. Players must fill in training and food diaries to help with analysis later in the season.

8. Players are expected to wear mouth guards and bring their own water bottle / snack to every session.

9. Players are expected to have respect for each other, their opponents, their coaches and referee officials.

Players must regularly check the Tyrone Website / Facebook Page / Twitter Feed for updates on their squad. Players must also keep an eye on the nominated email addresses for important emails from Tyrone County Board
