Cookstown Fr Rocks entertained Castlederg on Saturday before running out comfortable 2-24 to 0-12 winners having led at the break 0-13 to 0-7. Lorcan Mc Murray led the way in scoring with seven points while Nathan Connolly (1-2), Niall Mc Murray (0-5), Ronan Donnelly (1-1), Karol Wawrynkiewicz (0-4), Conal Sheehy (0-2) and Peter Mc Gurk (0-2) were all on target. Adam Traynor did most of the scoring for the Derg finishing with 0-8 while Daire Corry (3) and Andrew Crean were also among the points.

Drumragh hosted an understrength Eskra team on Sunday and cantered to a comfortable ten point 1-19 to 1-9 win. The Sarsfields were out of the traps from the off and with Daniel O’Neill and Ronan Maguire in fine form they opened up a 1-6 to no score lead. Points from Cormac Hughes and Aaron Kelly reduced the deficit but in the closing ten minutes of the half Drumragh hit a further six points without reply to go in at the break leading 1-13 to 0-4. Eskra were much improved after the break with Rory Kinsella, Conor O’Hagan, Eoin Mc Caffrey and Cormac Hughes among the scores. The home side however continued to dominate and added points from Niall Mc Carney, Ben Monk, Eoin Montgomery and Oran Devlin to emerge comfortable winners.
Top of the table Clogher found themselves involved in another high scoring thriller this time at home against Glenelly. The Plumbridge based side pushed their hosts all the way before Clogher emerged winners on a scoreline of 5-18 to 4-9 having led at the break 4-11 to 3-3. The returning Ciaran Bogue helped himself to a brace of first half goals while Fionbharr Mc Caughey also netted a couple. Vincent Lowry rounded off the goal scoring for the South Tyrone side with their fifth goal late in the game. Among the points for Clogher were Conor Shiels, Ryan Mc Caughey, Marc Mc Connell, Sean Mc Caffrey and Cillian Barkey. Glenelly will take some solace for their impressive scoring but know they need to be getting a few points to push them up the table if they are going to make an impact on the league this season. Aodhan Mc Connell top scored with 1-2 while Ronan O’Kane (1-1), Garrett O’Neill (1-1), Lorcan Mc Cullagh (0-4) and Rory Kennedy all helped to keep the contest competitive.
Strabane put Augher to the sword on Sunday in something of a slow burner as the north Tyrone side showed their potential in patches. Oran Mc Grath is rapidly becoming the Sigersons scoring machine as he led the line with 1-8 on Sunday. Haydn Mc Namee (1-2), Eoin Haire (0-4), Martin Mongan (1-0) Kelvin Nelson (0-2) and Kyle Morrison were all among the points for the Sigersons. Augher failed to really trouble their hosts with Darragh Kavanagh hitting 0-5 and Ronan Mc Elroy and Dara Donnelly landing a brace of points each.
Derrytresk remain perched at the top of 3B with their eighth win of the season . The returning Niall Gavin top scored for the Hill with 1-5 while Pat Campbell and Shea Mc Conville both found the net against a disappointing Urney side for whom Anthony Crossan scored a goal and Jamie Mc Aleer and Conor Mc Daid bagged a brace of points each.
Clan na nGael and Errigal 3rds produced a low scoring encounter that bubbled more than sizzled on Sunday before the north Tyrone side claimed the points on a 1-7 to 0-7 scoreline. Robbie Conway bagged an early goal for the Clan and that score remained the difference between the teams throughout. Conor Kerlin, Shea Browne and Dan Houston were among the points for the winners while Ryan Lynch (4), Niall Mc Cartan (3) and Sean Mc Girr were on target for Errigal. Both sides will be wondering just how they managed only two points apiece in the second half.
