Fintona moved back to the top 0f the Division 3 table with a convincing win over Glenelly on Friday night. Three defeats in a row for the north Tyrone men has seen their league aspirations all but disappear but they had no answer to a Pearses side who played wind assisted in the first half and with Peter Colton and Conor Mc Gillion in fine form reached the half time whistle leading 1-11 to 0-4. The second half saw the home side continue to dominate possession and chances to eventually win 2-24 to 0-9. Top scorers on the night for the Pearses were Colton who hit 1-7 and Mc Gillion who fired over 0-7. Glenelly’s scoring threat came from the hard work of Cormac Mc Bride, Harley Patton and Aodhan Mc Connell.

Augher defeated Strabane 1-9 to 1-7 after the teams were tied at 0-5 each at half time. In a low scoring game both sides looked well capable of winning it but it was the Augher men who prevailed. Augher scorers on the night were Pascal Gormley 1-3,  Jarlath Mc Namee 0-1, Dara Donnelly 0-2, Marty Mc Elhatton 0-1 and Decky Connolly 0-1. Among the Sigersons scorers on the night were Mickey Logue, Danny Mc Bride and Marty Mongan.

A high scoring game between Killyman and Cookstown which saw the St Mary’s emerge 2-20 to 3-10 winners with the teams level at the break 1-6 apiece. The Killyman scorers on the night were Jack Quinn 1-8, Ronan Mc Veigh 1-3, Enda Mc Gahan 0-2 and a point apiece from Ryan Mc Kenna, Eamon Donnelly, Cathal Mc Gahan, Eoghan Mc Gahan Gary Hamill, Christopher Mc Parland and Sean Donnelly. The Fr Rocks 3rds will be wondering how they scored 3-10  and still managed to lose out. Their scorers were John Gilmore 2-1, Brian Mulligan 1-1, James Devlin 0-3, Steven Devlin  0-2 and a point each from Connor Hare, Nick Guedes and Peter Glackin.

Tattyreagh hosted CNG at Darcy Park and after a solid display emerged 1-22 to 1-8 winners having led at the break 0-14 to 0-3. Dan Houston 0-1, Gareth Mc Dermott 0-4, Gavin Tummons 0-1, Ryan Tummons and Ryan Mc Gill got among the points for CNG while Paddy Harkin got their goal. The home side was always in control and won comfortably in the end. HT score: Tats 0-14 CNG: 0-3

Drumragh are really coming to the boil at the right time and in spite of losing centre back Paddy Colgan to injury last week they were expected to cope well with the threat  of Eskra. The Emmetts however made a great start and soon were five up. A fifth minute goal from Thomas Meegan following an Eoin Mc Evoy two pointer gave Eskra the perfect start. Drumragh were struggling to cope as the wind played havoc. By half time Eskra led by seven with their second goal coming from Johnny Hackett. The second half began with Drumragh set to chase down the seven point deficit and that is exactly what they did before winning narrowly 1-17 to 2-12. Eskra scorers were as follows: Eoin Mc Evoy 0-7, Thomas Meegan 1-0, Rory Kinsella 0-2, Finn Kelly 0-1, Johnny Hackett 1-0,  Conor O’Hagon 0-1, Cormac Arkinson 0-1. Drumragh will be delighted with the narrow win and another brace of points. Their scorers were Tommy Mullin 0-4, Connor Gormley 0-4, Lorcan Mc Grath 1-0, Gareth Haughey 0-2, Kian Murphy 0-2, Aidan Mc Carney 0-2 and a point each from Frankie Monk, Niall Maguire and Ronan Maguire.

Castlederg were hoping to bounce back from their narrow defeat at the hands of Tattyreagh earlier in the week. They had to make the long run to Brackaville on Friday night for their meeting with the Roes. They  had ten separate scorers in total over the hour with Daire Corry top scoring with 1-4. Others to chip in with scores for the Derg were Jack Ramsey 0-1, Paddy Porter 0-1, Eoin Devine 0-1, Oisin Lynch 0-1, Eoghan Bradley 1-2, Corin Mc Connell 1-1, Darren Traynor 0-3, Ben Harper 1-0 and James Docherty 1-0. Brackaville points on the night came from James Gillis, Ryan O’Neill, Ronan Mc Hugh, Aaron O’Neill, Jason O’Neill and Shea Fee with Aaron O’Neill getting his team’s goal.

Stewartstown led against Derrytresk at the break 1-8 to 0-6 before pulling away and winning 3-15 to 1-10. Scorers for the Harps were Macauley Quinn 0-6, Rian Biggs 2-3, Shea O’Neill 1-2, Jude Lowe 0-2 and Kyan Robinson 0-2. Derrytresk scorers were Eoin Mc Nally 1-2, Odhran Hughes 0-3, Pat Campbell 0-2, and a point each from Caolan O’Donnell, Cathal O’Neill and Ultan Mc Kee.

Errigal 3rds enjoyed a hard earned win over Urney with the border men pushing them all the way to the end. Errigal eventually won on a scoreline of 3-11 to 1-15. Once more Senan Canavan top scored for the Dunmoyle lads with 2-5 while Tom Loughran also found the net. Among the points were Shane Donaghy and Robert Harper, 0-2 each and a point apiece from James Harte and Jack Mc Nelis. Urney scorers were Jack Langan 1-0, Ryan Henry 0-3, Jamie Mc Aleer 0-3, Danny Doherty 0-5, Connor Mc Daid, and a point each from Kyle Henry and Adrian Maxwell.
