Tiernan Murray scored the most important point in D1 this weekend as his injury time score saw Carrickmore beat Pomeroy at Plunkett Park to clinch a league semi final spot at the expense of Killyclogher. Danny Fullerton and Lorcan McGarrity had also registered for the winners with Ryan Loughran and Ronan Duffin on target for the hosts.
Scores from Mark Bradley and Gavin Potter helped Killyclogher beat Eglish on Friday night to ensure the visitors finished bottom but they then fielded an understrength side away to Errigal Ciaran and were well beaten. Odhran Robinson scored 2 goals for the hosts with Bryan Horisk and Joe Oguz also finding the net. That result means that Errigal Ciaran finish top and will face old rivals Carrickmore in the semi finals.
Dungannon had an emphatic win at home to a very understrength Ardboe side. Star of the show for the Clarkes was Paul Donaghy who hit 3-5 with Finn Spence also finding the net.
Galbally finished 3rd and will travel to Dungannon for their semi final after an easy win over a severly depleted Edendork side. Joseph Corrigan, Conor Donaghy and Eoghan O’Neill got the Pearses goals.
James Taggart and Ryan Quinn got the Clonoe goals as they beat Dromore to ensure home advantage against neighbours Coalisland in the relegation playoff. Ruairi and Niall Sludden were among rhe points for the visitors.
Stephen McNally raised a green flag with Donal Sheeran and the Quinn brothers Cathaoir and Tiernan among the points as Coalisland beat bottom off the table Eglish at Father Campbell Park. Conor McCann, Seamus Muldoon and Ryan Bradley got the Eglish goals.
Donaghmore were convincing winners at Loughmacrory with Cormac McCann and Ben Hughes getting their goals with Ronan Cassidy, Conor Cush and Noah Grimes suppling points.
Ryan Gray, James Garrity and Rory Brennan got the goals as Trillick defeated Omagh in a contest were there was nothing at stake. Conor O’Donnell and Finbarr Taggart had points for the St.Endas.
