Moortown are the only team in Division 2 to with a 100% record following a three point victory over Kildress in Gortaclady.  Sharp shooter Conor Herron finished the match with 0-7 while Tony Quinn was also among the points for St Malachy’s.  Matthew Heagney and Des Treacy tried to pull Kildress back into the match but Moortown had just a little extra to spare at the end.  Final Score – Moortown 0-11 Kildress 0-8

Strabane had to come from behind to secure both points as they welcomed newcomers Dungannon to Sigerson Park.  Dungannon had early point scorers in Adam Mallon and Kiefer Morgan.  Strabane kept in touch with scores through Warner Mullan and JP Gallagher.  The Clarkes looked certain to steal the victory when Kiefer Morgan goaled close to the end of the second half only for John McLaughlin to fist a ball to the net in the last few minutes to bring Strabane back in front.  Final Score – Strabane 1-11 Dungannon 1-9

It was the battle of the Feeney brothers in Eskra this afternoon as Paul and John managed Galbally and Eskra in this Division 2 clash.  Mickey Murphy top scored for Galbally with 0-3 as the two sides drew all square at 0-4 towards the beginning of the second half.  Eskra finished much the stronger though and a goal from Conor O’Hagan followed by four Peter Hughes points eased the Emmetts to an eight point winning margin.  Final Score – Eskra 1-9 Galbally 0-4

Gortin are up and running in 2013 with a very impressive six point victory away to Stewartstown.  The St Patrick’s men had three different goal scorers this afternoon in Peter Clarke, Diarmuid McNulty and Paddy Northern.  Kevin McCullagh was among the point scorers as well.  Gareth Devlin fired over eight points for the Harps and Conor Quinn scored the Stewartstown goal.  However it was Gortin’s ability to create and convert the goals that helped them over the winning line.  Final Score – Stewartstown 1-10 Gortin 3-9

Derrytresk recorded their first victory of the season with a very easy win over Clann na nGael.  Man of the match Joe McKee was on fire for the home side kicking 1-2 in the first half and a further 0-5 after the break.  Caolan Corr was also a goal scorer for the ‘Men from the Hill’ for the second week in a row.  Final Score – Derrytresk 2-15 Clann na nGael 0-5

Pomeroy ended Urney’s unbeaten run in 2013 when they recorded a four point home win this afternoon.  The visitors were in the lead at the break thanks to a Paul Logue goal.  In the second half Pomeroy clawed their way back into the game with points from Justin McCaffrey, Hugh McNamee and Frank Burns.  A late Johnny Lafferty penalty couldn’t save the Urney men as Pomeroy now move onto four points from three games.  Final Score – Pomeroy 0-14 Urney 2-4

Edendork’s unbeaten start to the new season came to an end when they lost 1-10 to 0-11 away to a Rock side who were picking up their first points of the campaign. Eamon Ward bagged the only goal of the game for the winners with Martin and Conor McCreesh featuring among the points, County attacker Darren McCurry top scoring for the visitors with seven points to his name.

Brackaville’s unbeaten start to life back in Intermediate football continued when they got the better of visiting Aghyaran on a 1-12 to 0-10 score line at O’Brien Park.  Ciaran Gervin and Joe Rafferty kicked eight points between them for the Roes with Martin Gervin the goal scorer, Aidan Connolly [4] and Sean Byrne [3] among the points for the St.Davogs.
