Cookstown are three points clear at the top of Division 2 tonight following a big, big win away to Clann na nGael. The Fr Rock’s playing with the help of the breeze were 2-8 to 0-1 ahead at the break thanks to two Conor Mullan goals. The Cookstown men pushed on after the break and two goals from Tyrone minor James McGahan eased the Fr Rock’s to an 8th win.   McGahan finished the game with 2-4.  Final Score – Clann na Gael 1-5 Cookstown 4-13

Galbally recorded their first league win in Pearse Park tonight with a convincing 15 point victory over Eskra.  Damien McCrory, Declan Murphy and Ryan McGurk bagged the goals for the Pearses while Shane Hackett kicked a couple of points for a dissapointing Emmetts.  Final Score – Galbally 3-11 Eskra 0-5

Augher lost for only the second time this season away to Aghyaran.  Darragh Donnelly scored a first half goal for Augher but points from Sean Byrne, Ronan McNamee, Jude Hands and Gary Falls put Aghyaran in front.  Liam Connolly scored a second goal in the closing seconds but it was too late for Augher.  Final Score – Aghyaran 0-13 Augher 2-6

Loughmacrory suffered a defeat at home to a  resurgent Pomeroy team who move into third place in Division 2 with a game in hand.  Stephen McKenna and Ronan McKenna finished both of the Plunketts goals to the net while Ciaran Ward and Niaill Donaghy got the majors for Loughmacrory.  Final Score – Loughmacrory 2-10 Pomeroy 2-13

Urney made without doubt the longest journey of the night up to Moy and came away with both the points.  Mark Devine and James McMenamin were the goal scorers for Urney on the night as they recorded a narrow two point victory over their hosts.  Final Score – Moy 2-7 Urney 2-9

Gortin grabbed their 4th league point of the season with a draw at home to Derrytresk.  Two late Kevin Mossey frees rescued a point for the St Patrick’s men and he finished the night with 0-6.  Niall Gavin had earlier hit 0-3 for Derrytresk and Joe McKee had fired home a goal.  Final Score – Gortin 0-11 Derrytresk 1-8

Killeeshil are finally up and running after 9 attempts as they secured a draw at home to Rock.  Ciaran Bannon struck a first half goal for the St Mary’s and after the break it was point for point with Mickey McMullan striking a second half goal to help earn a point.  Aidan McGarrity got the visitors goal with Conor McCreesh hitting the equaliserFinal Score – Killeeshil 2-6 Rock 1-9
