Greencastle moved back to the summit of Division Two following their win over Newtownstewart on Saturday afternoon. An early John Mc Cullagh goal put the visitors on the way to victory as they bounced back from last weekend’s home defeat to Trillick. The same player bagged a second major as his team reached the break 2-5 to 0-4 in front. The second half was something of a procession for the winners with Mark Carson, Gabhan Slane and Daniel Tuohey all hitting the target to ensure the league title remains up for grabs following Trillick’s draw away to Brackaville. final score Newtownstewart 0-5, Greencastle 2-18.

Ronan McHugh scored 1-3 with Sean Byrne hitting four points as Aghyaran secured a comfortable double scores win at Gortin, Ruairi Keenan and Gerard Devine among the scorers for the hosts.

Darren McCurry scored ten points and Brian Og O’Rourke 1-4 as Edendork edged out Stewartstown in a high scoring encounter, Gareth Devlin with 2-4 for the Harps and Macaulay Quinn landing three points.

Pomeroy ran riot at home to Killeeshil with Frank Burns weighing in with 3-4 and Rory Begley, Stephen McKenna and Cathal McKenna also getting goals, Eoghan Donaghy with two majors for the visitors.

Derrylaughan remain third in the table after winning at Urney with Shea Coney, Liam Gervin, Darragh Carney and Ciaran Quinn all scoring points, Jamie McAleer and Stephen Lafferty responding for the St.Columbas.

Mickey Murphy got 1-2 and centre half back Christopher Morris four points as Galbally got the better of championship finalists Dungannon at Pearse Park, Keifer Morgan and Matthew Walsh on target for the Clarkes.

Ciaran Gervin was the Brackaville hero with an injury time equaliser as the home side did serious damage to Trillick’s title hopes. Sean Corr was the Roes goal scorer on the day with Philip McGrade finding the net for the St.Macartans and Lee Brennan among their points.

Ronan Ward and Paraic Meenagh got nine points between them as Loughmacrory had the minimum to spare at home to Kildress, Francis Og Quinn got the Wolfe Tones goal with Frank McGurk among their points.
