Division 3 Decisions

The Division Three league title was finally decided at the weekend following Stewartstown’s comprehensive victory over Owen Roes. This win secured a return to Intermediate football for The Harps and may go some way towards making up for the disappointment of defeat in this year’s championship final. Malachy Coyle’s side have bee the most consistent team in the league this year and are deserving winners of the title. They dropped just three points all season and scored almost three hundred points in their seventeen game campaign. There will be plenty of celebrating following this win but I would imagine thoughts are already turning towards next year and Intermediate football. The aim for all involved with the club now must be to consolidate their place in Intermediate football and leave behind the yoyo tag of the last few years.

The other playoff places in Division Three have also been sorted and Drumquin, Fintona, Brackaville and Clogher will battle it out to decide who will compete for the final promotion place to Division Two. Drumquin and Brackaville have been playing the more consistent football of late and I would expect these two sides to make it to the final playoff.
