Division 3 In Association With Mc Girr Bros Quarries
Wednesday 22.07.2026
The remainder of the Division 3 games played this week resulted in wins for Brocagh, CNG and Tattyreagh. The Tatts win takes them above Castlederg on the league table and makes them favourites to claim the 3A league title.
A huge crowd turned up at Marius Mc Hugh Park on Monday night to watch what was effectively a league decider between two teams who have set the pace in 3A this year. It became a bit of a two pointer shoot out early on between Keely Mc Donagh and Corin Mc Connell after early points from Paddy Lynch and Oisin Lynch had put the Derg in front. Mc Donagh hit three first half two pointers with Mc Connell hitting four points for his side in the opening half. The teams reached the break with Tattyreagh 0-9 to 0-6 ahead. Peadar Mullan was very busy for the visitors handling a lot of ball as well as landing a huge two point effort for his team after twenty minutes.
Tattyreagh deservedly led at the break as Castlederg’s profligacy in front of goal cost them.
The second half saw the game remain tight with the Derg scoring only four times during the thirty plus minutes. Both sides were awarded penalties by referee Martin Conroy who had a superb game throughout. Only one was converted as Collie Mimnagh saved Corin Mc Connell’s kick after seven minutes but Keely Mc Donagh made no mistake with his attempt with five minutes remaining.
That score proved to be the key one as it put Tattyreagh five clear with little time left. The home side did push hard cheered on by a vociferous home crowd but Tattyreagh held on for the win with late points from Eoin Mc Grath and Brendan Armstrong.
Final Score: Castlederg 0-12, Tattyreagh 1-12
Donaghmore hosted CNG and after a very entertaining high scoring game the north Tyrone side took the points on a score line of 4-24 to 1-16. CNG led at the break by six 0-14 to 0-8. CNG made it a night to remember for them with four second half goals in a very entertaining contest. CNG scorers on the night were Dan Houston (2-4), Marc Henry 1-6, Cahir O’Neill 1-1, Shane Mc Dermott 0-3, Aaron Devine 0-2, Ryan Devine 0-2, Ryan Devine 0-2, and a point each from Niall O’Doherty, Gareth Mc Dermott, Johnny Knox, Ryan Tummon, Ruairi Blee and Paddy Harkin. Donaghmore’s scores came from Ryan Bullock 0-1, Caolan Quinn o-3, Caolan Mulgrew 0-8, Ryan Mullan 0-2 and Ciaran Hackett 0-2.
There was little between Cookstown 3rds and Brocagh in their clash at the weekend before the Emmetts emerged one point winners on a final score of 0-16 to 2-9 having trailed 1-7 to 0-7 at the break. Mickey Hughes was back to his brilliant best with 0-8 for Brocagh with Niall Cassidy 0-2, Ryan Canavan 0-1, Michael Carolan 0-2, Cathal Donnelly 0-2, and Conan Mc Donald also on target. Cookstown scorers were Kevin Sweeney 2-0, Stephen Devlin 0-4, , Ryan Owens 0-2, Brian Mulligan 0-2 and James Devlin 0-1.
