Eskra once again showed their worth with a very convincing win away to a slightly under strength Castlederg side. In a real show of quality the Emmetts reached the break 2-10 to 1-3 ahead. Shane Mc Nelis and Ryan Gartland bagged the goals while Paul Turbitt and Conor O’Hagan hit seven points between them. Early second half goals from Cathal Meegan and Johnny Hackett ended the game as a contest as Eskra coasted to victory. Shane Carlin found the net for the Derg while Stefain Gallen (6) , Paddy Lynch, Bradley Devine and Pauric Keyes were also among the points.

Brackaville enjoyed a relatively comfortable win over Drumquin on Sunday with goals from Tiernan Mc Glinchey and Dale Mc Sorley helping them to a seven point win. Martin Gervin, Gary Ferguson and Sean Day were among the points for the Owen Roes. Drumquin were well in the game at the break trailing by one with Sean Mc Donagh hitting the net for their goal. However in spite of scores from Liam Patterson, Frankie Mc Alynn and Pauric Rodgers they slipped to another league defeat.

Drumragh pulled off one of the shocks of the day with a five point away win over fourteen man Newtownstewart. Ryan Mayse was dismissed in the second half following a second yellow card. Once again Shane Cleary was marksman in chief with 1-6 of his team’s total. Kevin Gallagher hit three of his team’s points while Aidan Mc Sorley, Ryan Mayse and Mark Mc Elhatton were also among the points.

Rock and Killeeshil served up a very close game before Rock emerged one point winners on a score line of 2-10 to 0-15. Pascal Donaghy must surely have put himself among the top scorers of the weekend when he hit 0-10 of his team’s total. Cormac Donaghy, Louis Conlon, Conal Monaghan and Gary Reilly were also on target for the hoops. Liam Nugent outshot Donaghy with 1-8 while Cathal Mc Williams got his team’s other goal. Aidan Gervin, Enda Mc Williams and Diarmuid Carroll were among the points.
