Fintona and Brocagh served up an entertaining match on Friday evening before the Emmetts claimed the win on a score line of 2-11 to 1-11. Peter Mc Glynn (1-2), Cathal Starrs (0-4), Liam Maguire, Niall Murray and Conor Mc Golderick were on target for the Pearses while Ciaran Campbell (1-0) and Mickey Hughes (1-4) got the all important goals for the winners. The return of Barry Donnelly (0-1) to the Brocagh full forward line also proved significant in the final outcome.

Eskra saw off the challenge of Cookstown in another high scoring encounter 0-16 to 2-8. Joe Mc Carroll (4), Aaron Kelly (3), Cormac Arkinson (2), Cathal Arkinson (2) and Cathal Meegan (2) were on target for the winners while in an improved display from the Fr Rocks Matthew Carberry and Conor Donnelly both hit the net and Marty Murray (3), Sean Mc Laughlin (2) and Danny Mc Elhatton were among the points.

Castlederg had a point to spare over neighbours Glenelly 1-10 to 1-09. A Sean Harper goal, three Mark Corry points and a brace from Dom Mc Goldrick helped the Derg reach the break leading 1-7 to 0-5. Glenelly’s Aodhan Mc Connell (1-1) found the net for his side to give them the boost they needed and with Seamus Harkin (0-4) and Ronan O’Kane (2) on target they ran their hosts close but points from Brian Harper, Brian Coyle and Owen Mc Callion were enough to see the Derg home.

Derrytresk defeated Drumquin 2-14 to 2-7 with Niall Gavin’s seven first half points and a Ronan O’Neill goal helping them lead 1-9 to 1-2 at the break. Aidan Gavin and Caolan Corr both bagged a point apiece in an entertaining opening half hour. A converted Drumquin penalty kept the Tones in the game and a second goal shortly after the break gave them further hope but Niall Gavin hit a further 1-2 and Paudie Bell 0-3 to ensure the points went to The Hill. Sean Mc Donagh top scored for Drumquin with a converted penalty and five frees among his tally of 1-6. Packie O’Kane hit 1-0 and Oisin Mc Menamin scored his team’s remaining point.

Urney hosted Coalisland Thirds on Saturday and continued their fine run of form. Top scorer last week Johnny Lafferty bagged 1-8 while Liam Langan (1-1), Danny Lynch (1-0), Jamie Mc Aleer (0-3) and Ryan Henry were among the points for the border men. The Fianna found the going tough with Ryan Magee (1-1), Niall Fox (0-3), Frankie Joe O’Neill and former hot shot Kevin Corr (0-2) were on target for their team.  Result: Urney 3-18 Coalisland 1-8

The first of the Division Three fixtures this week took place on Thursday evening when Killyman played host to Errigal 3rds. The home side picked up their first points of the season with a 2-14 to 2-5 win over the Dunmoyle based lads. Playing with wind advantage in the first half Killyman led at the break by five 1-6 to 1-1.
