Omagh and Eglish served up a real cracker of a game at Healy Park this afternoon which could have gone either way. The home side prevailed by two points in the end on a 1-13 to 1-11 score line but Eglish may feel they should have had something from what was a very close game. Eglish began well and with six different scorers led 0-6 to 0-2 after fourteen minutes. A Cathal Mc Carron goal ignited Omagh’s challenge and by half time the home side led 1-6 to 0-8. Eglish started the second half well with points from Emmett and Connor Mc Kenna but Omagh steadied the ship and the returning Ronan O’Neill did enough to see his side home by two at the end.  Final Score – Omagh 1-13 Eglish 1-11

There was a dress rehearsal for the championship in Carrickmore this afternoon and it ended in a bit of a shock as Cookstown came away with a point.  Mark Donnelly and Martin Penrose accounted for all of Carrickmore’s points in the opening half as the home side led 0-8 to 0-5 at the break.  Seven of Carmen’s points on the day came from free kicks.  The Cookstown points in the opening half came from Conor Mullan, Raymond Mulgrew, Owen Mulligan and Christopher Eastwood.  Carrickmore only scored once after the break as Cookstown pushed on and fired over four points thanks to Mulgrew, Mulligan and Eastwood.  The Fr Rock’s had numerous opportunities to win the game and were left to rue the six second half wides.  Final Score – Carrickmore 0-9 Cookstown 0-9

Life at the bottom end isn’t getting much better for Derrylaughan as they travelled to Dunmoyle this afternoon and came away with a seventeen point defeat.  Errigal Ciaran were leading 0-10 to 0-1 at the break thanks to points from Ronan McCrory, Patrick McDermot and Enda McGinley.  The Kevin Barry’s only point came from Colm O’Hare. After the break Errigal dominated possession once again and Damian McDermot, Paul Quinn and Ronan McCrory helped them to an easy win.  Daire Carney fired over two consolation points for Derrylaughan.  Final Score – Errigal Ciaran 0-20 Derrylaughan 0-3

Coalisland’s remarkable record in the Tyrone ACL Division 1 almost came to an end this afternoon at Fr Peter Campbell Park.  They were behind 0-9 to 0-3 at half time as Kyle Coney and Shea McGuigan fired the Rossas ahead.  Coney kicked 0-5 during that period.  After the break the Fianna came back into the match through scores from Plunkett Kane, Gerard Toner and Brian Toner.  A brilliant second half display earned them a draw.  Final Score – Coalisland 0-13 Ardboe 0-13

Moy are the surprise package in Division 1 so far this year and they recorded another impressive victory today in Donaghmore.  Paul Rouse top scored for Moy with two goals while Sean Cavanagh, Emmett Rafferty and Peter Mallon all chipped in with points.  Matthew McGahan and Shane Mulgrew were both on target for the home side who have only two points to show for their six outings this year.  Final Score – Donaghmore 0-13 Moy 2-12

Trillick and Augher played out the third draw in Division 1 this afternoon.  Lee Brennan and Richard Donnelly bagged the goals for Trillick.  Daire Kavanagh was on target for Augher’s major while Jamie Donnelly kicked 0-5 for the away side.  Trillick had Richard Donnelly to thank for the equaliser towards the end of the game.  Final Score – Trillick 2-7 Augher 1-10

Dromore remain top of Division 1 tonight after they defeated Greencastle away from home.  Dromore were dominant throughout the sixty minutes with Eoin McCusker 0-5 and Colm McCullagh 0-4 particularly prominent throughout.   Greencastle tried hard to create chances and they had Mark Carson and Cahir McCullagh to thank for seven of their points.  Conor Carson punched home a late consolation goal for the St Patrick’s side who remain third from bottom on four points.  Final Score – Greencastle 1-9 Dromore 0-16
