Greencastle caused something of a shock with their victory over Carrickmore this evening on a final score line of 3-10 to 1-14. The home side began well and were 1-05 to 0-3 in front midway through the first half with John Mc Cullagh, Cahir Mc Cullagh and Mark Carson hitting points and minor star Gavin Slane finding the net. In the remaining minutes of the half Greencastle scored two further goals, one from Peter Teague and one which could only be described as an own goal.

Barney Gormley must have read the riot act at the break because it was a much improved Carrickmore side after the break as the visitors closed the gap significantly. However although Greencastle only score four points in the second half it was enough to seal a hard earned win for the hoops.

Killyclogher took the first two points of the evening with a well deserved 2-12 to 1-9 win away in Eglish. A brace of first half goals from James Carlin proved crucial in the game as the visitors reached the break seven points in front leading 2-6 to 0-5. Emmett Mc Kenna, Conall Martin and Enda Mc Elroy hit first half points for Eglish while Conall Mc Cann and Mark Bradley were on target for the visitors. Killyclogher began the second half well with points from Mc Cann and Carlin again but Eglish threatened something of a comeback with three points between the seventh and twelfth minutes of the half. However Mark Bradley then hit three fine scores in a row to seal the win for Killyclogher and although Michael Jordan converted a late penalty for Eglish it did not affect the outcome.

Donaghmore have lost at home again this time to a very good Coalisland side. The Fianna were 0-6 to 0-1 up after twenty minutes but went in at the break trailing 2-1 to 0-6 after the home side hit two goals in the closing five minutes of the half from Mark Hetherington and Niall McKenna. Coalisland were back in front after three minutes of the second half but were rocked back on their heels when they were reduced to fourteen men seven minutes in. However Donaghmore failed to capitalise on their numerical supremacy and in spite of a late Kelvin Hughes goal Coalisland eased to a 1-14 to 3-5 win. Eoghan Carberry top scored for the Fianna with 1-5 with Plunkett Kane and Tiarnan O’Hagan among the points as well

Augher trvaelled to the Loughshore and came away with a 1-11 to 0-8 win over bottom of the table Derrylaughan. Liam Connolly scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot with Jamie Donnelly, Daire Kavanagh and Darragh Donnelly getting points for a St.Macartans side who played most of the game with only fourteen men. Shea Coney, Sean Robinson and Liam Gervin scored for a Derrylaughan side who have now lost seven on the trot.

Ardboe defeated Moy 0-15 to 0-10 at the Loughshore. Michael Hagan, Nishy O’Neill, Kyle Coney and Michael Cassidy all featured among the points for the Rossas with Sean Cavanagh hitting half a dozen points for the visitors and Peter Mallon also on target. Errigal edged past Trillick at Dunmoyle, 0-11 to 0-9 the final score line. The visitors led at the break thanks to points from Richard Donnelly, Caolan Tierney on target for the home side. In the second half Errigal Ciaran had scores from Sean McKenna, Damian McDermott and Patrick McDermott as they secured back to back wins for the first time this season.
