Omagh continued their recovery with a hard fought win over Trillick today. The Reds were three up after 9 minutes but Conan Grugan and Conor O’Donnell ensured the home side went in 0-8 to 0-5 ahead at the break having hit six points between them. Omagh were reduced to 14 when full forward Paddy Doherty received a straight red card just before the break. However try as they might Trillick failed to muster a serious threat in the second half and a 39th minute goal from O’Donnell sealed the game for the winners. final score Omagh 1-12, Trillick 0-8.
Coalisland made the short trip to Edendork and recorded a comfortbale 2-18 to 0-10 win with Plunkett Kane hitting 1-4 and Gerard Toner getting their other goal, Darren McCurry with half a dozen points for the St.Malachys. Two goals from Shane Mulgrew proved to be decisive as Donaghmore won 2-11 to 1-10 at Moortown. Carrickmore defeated Greencastle 1-13 to 0-9 at home with Micheal McCallan getting the only goal of the game and Martin Penrose, Mark Donnelly and Jonathan Munroe all getting points, Shane Coyle and Cathair McCullagh responding for a Greencastle side still looking for their first league points.
Errigal Ciaran are another side who are still unbeaten after accounting for Eglish at Dunmoyle. Enda McGinley and Darren Canavan got the winners goals with Ryan Lynch and Tommy Canavan among their points while Peter McCann and Ryan McKenna found the net for the visitors. Derrylaughan had the minimum to spare against Kildress at Gortacladdy with Ciaran Quinn, Ciaran Gervin and Liam Gervin getting points for the Kevin Barrys as it finished 0-13 to 1-9, Philip Lennon the Wolfe Tones goal scorer with Frank McGurk and Des Treacy getting points.
