There were two league matches played in the ACL Division Three on Wednesday night with Killyman taking on Glenelly and a South Tyrone local derby pairing between Augher and Aghaloo.

Glenelly ran up quite a score against Killyman coming out on top with a score line of 1-30 to 0-8. Cormac Mc Bride top scored for Glenelly with 0-7 while Rory Kennedy (0-5) and Nathan Mc Laughlin (1-2) also figured prominently in the scoring returns. Others to contribute to the Glenelly cause were Ronan O’Kane (4), Lorcan Mc Cullagh (3), Cathal O’Neill (2) and Eoghan Mc Connell (2). For Killyman, who trailed 0-15 to 0-2 at the break, it was a tough result to take. Enda Mc Gahan (3) and Cathal Mc Gahan (2) were top scorers for the men in yellow and blue.

Aghaloo and Augher produced a close, hard fought game which was a real test of character for both sides. Augher led by three late in the game but three late points from Jody Mc Glone ensured a share of the spoils for Aghaloo and kept both sides in touch with the top four in the division. Augher led 0-4 to 0-3 at the break with scores from Darragh Kavanagh, Marty Mc Elhatton and Pascal Gormley (2) while points from the inform Tiernan Donnelly and Conor Mullen left the minimum between the teams at the break. Donnelly and Mc Glone pointed for Aghaloo after the break but scores from Gormley, Ronan Mc Elroy and Raymond Mc Elroy put Augher three ahead going down the stretch. Just when it looked like Augher might take the points up popped Jody Mc Glone to snatch a draw and a share of the points. Final score 0-8 apiece.
