Shane Cleary scored twelve points for Drumragh on Sunday but that was still not enough to deny Kildress the win on a final score of 2-13 to 0-16. The Wolfe Tones were on top in the first half and Pauric Lagan’s goal just before the break followed by points from Matthew Mc Guigan and Colum Loughran sent them in five clear. After the restart Phillip Lennon converted a penalty for Kildress while Loughran, Mc Guigan and Lagan added points. Once again Drumragh were very dependent on Cleary for scores and although they narrowed the gap late in the game to three with points from Martin Taggart, Ronan Maguire and Aaron Montgomery it was a case of too little too late and Kildress held on for the win.

Castlederg defeated Drumquin in their derby clash 4-10 to 0-8. Darren Traynor was scorer in chief for the Derg with 3-2 while Bradley Devine (2), Paddy Lynch (1-3) Ronan Devine (1), Caolan Harvey and Sean Harper were among the points for the winners. On a disappointing day for the Wolfe Tones Mattie Mc Dermott hit 0-5 and Paul Sheridan (2) and James O’Kane were also on target.

Aghaloo made the short run down to Eskra and came away with the win following an impressive second half. The Emmetts led 1-5 to 0-5 at the break with points from Joe Mc Carroll, Shane Hackett, Cathal Meegan and Martin Mc Ginley. A converted penalty from Johnny Hackett sent them in at the short whistle in a strong position. Aghaloo were much improved after the break and goals from Niall Mc Elroy (2) and Eoin Ward along with points from Ruairi Mc Glone, Brian Mc Kenna, and Tiarnan Donnelly sealed the 3-8 to 1-8 victory.

Brackaville and Glenelly enjoyed a bit of an old fashioned shoot out before the East Tyrone side emerged 1-15 to 0-15 winners. Dale Mc Sorley hit 0-6 for the winners but it was Tiernan Mc Glinchey’s second half goal which proved the difference in the end. Barry Mc Connell (5) and Ronan O’Kane (6) carried most of the scoring threat for Glenelly while Seamus Harkin chipped in with three points.|

Brocagh ran up a large score to defeat neighbours Killyman in their derby clash. First half goals from Cathal and Barry Donnelly sent the Emmetts on their way. Ciaran Donnelly added three points in the second half while Mickey Hughes (4) and Justin Campbell both got in on the scoring. Once again Enda Mc Gahan top scored for Killyman with 0-5 while Eamon Donnelly (2) and Luke Roche both got their names on the scoring list.

Rock continue to impress as they brushed aside the challenge of Dregish. Liam Nugent (1-7) was on fire for the winners while Aidan Mc Garrity (2-2) and Arthur Donaghy (1-1) were among the scores. Niall O’Kane, Aidan O’ Kane, Ben Mc Farland and Cathal Rodgers all contributed points for Dregish.

Fintona got their season back on track with a narrow win over Killeeshil. Pascal Donaghy carried a real scoring threat throughout hitting six of his team’s scores while Tomas Hoy (1-0) and Daniel Millar (2) were also on target but could not prevent their side from sliding to a narrow defeat. A Hail Mary ball into the Killeeshil goalmouth was punched to the net by Mattie Armstrong to put his team ahead with time almost up. The teams exchanged scores to leave one between them but Killeeshil made a mess of a last chance free kick to level the game. Fintona worked hard for their win with Aaron Mc Carney (5), Pauric Kelly (4) and Mark Mc Glynn contributing points.

Niall Gavin (1-3) top scored as his team got the better of Clan na nGael in a close fought match before Derrytresk emerged 1-14 to 2-9 winners. Cathal O’Neill (3) and Ronan O’Neill (2) both scored important points for their team.
