Beragh Red Knights enjoyed a seven point win over Dregish after leading by the same margin at the break. Eddy Molloy and Jack Campbell both hit five points apiece for Beragh while Niall Owens landed three of his team’s fifteen points. Dregish will take heart from this improved display which saw Niall O’Kane, Aidan O’Kane, Cathal Rodgers and Marty Bonner hit a brace of points each in a 0-15 to 0-10 defeat.

Drumragh made the long run to Brackaville on Sunday and came away with the points after an impressive win over the Owen Roes. Ryan Mc Hugh, Shea Fiach and second half sub Declan Gillis accounted for most of the Brackaville scores on a day they will want to forget in a hurry. Two goals from Marty Taggart and points from Shane Cleary (5), Kevin Marron and Eamon Rea helped ease Drumragh to a nine point win on a final score of 2-11 to 0-8.

The ever improving Clan na nGael enjoyed another fine win on Sunday when they produced a strong second half to defeat Brocagh 2-10 to 1-7. In a close first half the Emmetts reached the break three points in front. However a goal shortly after half time from Gareth Mc Dermott drew the sides level and from then on there was only one team in it. Emmett Blee also found the net while Joe, Danny and Adrian Ball hit five second half points between them.

Another North Tyrone side Owen Roes produced a gritty display to defeat Derrytresk 3-7 to 0-10 with the goals proving to be the key scores. Cathal Mc Shane once again showed his worth to his team with a brace of majors while Ronan Mc Nulty got his team’s other goal. Conor O’Neill (5), Gerard Devine and Tony Devine landed the points for Owen Roes to  ensure their good start to the season continued. In a rather flat display for the Hill Men Caolan Corr top scored with six while Liam Slater (2), Niall Gavin and Ronan O’Neill accounted for the rest of their scores.

Tattyreagh got their league season well and truly back on the rails with a 2-16 to 0-12 win over Drumquin on Saturday evening. An impressive first half from the Tatts saw them reach the break 1-11 to 0-6 ahead. Their good form continued after the break before winning convincingly in the end. Joe Cartin and Damian Mullan found the net for the winners while James Darcy and Johnny Harkin both hit four points apiece while Paul Sheridan (8) and Frankie Mc Alynn (3) top scored for the Wolfe Tones.

Glenelly and Errigal Ciaran Thirds served up a real thriller on Saturday before the Dunmoyle men emerged victorious on a score of 3-13 to 1-14. Points from Ronan O’Kane (3), Eamon Mc Connell and a goal from Ciaran Kearney were not enough to prevent Errigal reaching the break leading 0-12 to 1-8. Second half goals from Caolan Tierney, Niall Molloy and Dara Tierney as well as points from Cahir Tierney and Jody Farrell ensured the Errigal men took the victory.

Killeeshil’s poor start to the season continued as they suffered a 3-18 to 0-8 loss at the hands of an in form Newtownstewart side. Once again Ryan Mayse, Aidan Mc Sorley, Kevin Gallagher and Piaras Mc Sorley were on target for the winners  with Mayse (1-9) top scoring and Brendan Boyle and Damien Donnelly also finding the net for the winners. On another day to forget for the St. Mary’s Pascal Donaghy (5), Liam Hughes, Enda Hamill and Conor Donaghy all landed points.
