Fintona enjoyed a seven point win over Clan na Gael with Aaron Mc Carney leading the line to hit 1-6 for his team. An impressive first half saw the Pearses reach the break leading 1-8 to 0-4. John Fitzpatrick, Bernard Cassidy and Niall Murray were among the scorers in that dominant opening thirty minutes. Cassidy added 1-1 after the break as Fintona ensured they took the points in spite of an improved second half showing by Clan na Gael. Aaron Devine was scorer in chief for the Clan with 1-2 while Danny Ball 0-4, Dominic Devine 0-2 and Eoghan Dooher 0-2 were also on target for the North Tyrone lads.

Derrytresk made the long run to Dregish but came away with the points after a fairly straight forward win. Marty Bonner and Pete Mc Crossan both found the net for the Pearse Ogs while Aidan O’Kane contributed 0-3 to their tally. However Derrytresk proved the stronger side and led 2-8 to 1-4 at the break. They maintained their momentum throughout the second half to win comfortably 2-16 to 2-7. Liam Slater 0-8, Paudie Bell 1-1, Ronan O’Neill 1-1 and Cathal O’Neill 0-3 provided most of the scores for The Hill Men.

Killeeshil took the points after a high scoring clash with Drumquin. Three first half goals helped the St Mary’s reach the break leading 3-06 to 1-05. Newtownstewart defeated Clogher 1-12 to 2-7 but they were made fight all the way for the win. After a low scoring first thirty minutes Clogher reached the break leading 1-3 to 0-5. Piaras Mc Sorley, Niall and Ryan Mayse got the first half scores for the winners. Most of the excitement however was reserved for the closing minutes that saw Clogher bag their second goal to move 2-7 to 0-9 in front.
