Newtownstewart put their disappointing championship exit behind them with a comfortable 0-20 to 1-05 win over Fintona. Kevin Gallagher led the scoring with six points while Aidan Mc Sorley, Niall Mayse, Ciaran Mc Sorley were also on target for the winners. Newtown led 0-11 to 1-2 at the break with Nathan Deane hitting Fintona’s goal and Ryan Mellon and Bernard Cassidy getting their first half points. Things did not improve much after the break for Fintona as they added only three points from Cillian Mc Cann, Aaron Mc Carney and Cathal Starrs.

Tattyreagh had their shooting boots on when Killyman visited on Sunday. By half time they had established a 1-13 to 0-3 lead, James Darcy hit 3-4 for the winners while Robert Porter (1-3) and Johnny Harkin (0-4) were also on target.

Derrytresk and Glenelly played out a high scoring and entertaining match with the Hill Men in buoyant mood after their championship win on Friday night. Ronan O’Neill and Liam Slater bagged the goals for the winners with both goals coming in the first half. Ace marksman Niall Gavin landed six points while Mickey Robinson also hit a brace. Martin Kirk,Seamus Bradley and Ronan O’Kane got the goals for Glenelly while Seamus Harkin, Cathal O’Neill, Eamon Mc Connell were among the points.

Brackaville defeated Beragh at the weekend on a score line of 2-16 to 0-13. A close and competitive first half saw the teams reach the break with the Owen Roes leading 0-11 to 0-9. Gary Ferguson and Marty Gervin were on target with points for the winners while Shea Fee and Conor Stock bagged the all important goals. Jack Campbell once again proved his worth to the Red Knights hitting seven of his team’s points while Oisin Donnelly, Eddie Molloy, Johnny Woods and Nathan Grimes were also among the points.

Owen Roes coasted to a 1-18 to 0-6 win over Dregish on Sunday. In a dominant display the winners led by seven at the break 0-11 to 0-4. Conor O’Neill top scored for the winners with 0-9 while Ryan Mc Aleer bagged 1-2. Michael and Seamus Dooher landed a brace of points apiece for the winners who maintain their unbeaten run.
