Killyman made the long run to Castlederg on Saturday and came away with a draw after a high scoring encounter. There was little between the teams throughout with the game tied at 2-4 apiece at the break. Try as they might neither side could shake off the other and at the end a point apiece was a fair outcome. Enda Mc Gahan (2-4), Cathal Campbell (1-0) and Eamon Donnelly (0-2) got the key scores for Killyman. Castlederg had seven different scorers with Sean Meehan, Conor Mc Callion, Sean Harper, Mark Corry, Stefan Gallen and Paddy Lynch all on target.

Killeeshil continued their good form with a seven point win over Glenelly. Seamus Harkin (5), Ronan O’Kane (2) and Cathal Hicks (2) were the main scorers for the Plumbridge based outfit while Pascal Donaghy (6) , Aaron Mc Kenna (1-0) and Daniel Millar (3) were among the scorers for Killeeshil. The winners led by three at the break 0-7 to 0-4 and Mc Kenna’s second half goal sealed the win.

There was little between Brackaville and Rock on Saturday evening with the sides level at the break and only a single point separating them at the final whistle. Diarmuid Carroll netted for Rock late in the first half but Brackaville responded well with a goal of their own from Conor Stock to leave it 1-5 apiece at the break. Dale Mc Sorley top scored with 0-5 for the Roes but once again Liam Nugent proved his worth to the Rock cause with 0-5 of his own. Ryan Crilly’s 0-2 was also crucial to the win as Rock edged it 1-9 to 1-8.

High flying Eskra and Beragh were involved in a low scoring arm wrestle of a derby on Saturday before the Emmetts emerged narrow winners.

The sides were tied at five points each at the break with Ryan Gartland and Martin Rodgers doing most of the scoring for their respective teams. The second half was attritional with scores very hard to come by. Only three points in total were scored. Oisin Donnelly opened the scoring in the second half when he hit one for Beragh but two Joe Mc Carroll scores sealed the win for Eskra.

Drumquin found their shooting boots on Saturday hitting sixteen points but still lost out at home to Brocagh. The Emmetts found the net on three occasions during the match to help themselves to a narrow two point win. Veteran Liam Patterson led the Drumquin scoring with 0-5 while Frankie Mc Alynn, Joe Gormley and Cormac Rodgers were also among the points. Mark Canavan (1-4) and Micky Hughes (2-2) were the scorers in chief for Brocagh. Final score Drumquin 0-16, Brocagh 3-9.

The derby clash between Newtownstewart and Dregish turned out to be a bit of a damp squib as Newtownstewart emerged convincing winners. Kevin Gallagher, Aidan Mc Sorley (2) and Turlough Mc Namee all found the net in a strong first half hour for the St Eugenes. Ryan Mayse was on target in the second half as Newtown cruised to victory. Niall Mayse, Shane Devine, Sean Gallagher, Mark Mc Elhatton and Jake Mc Hugh were among the points for the winners. On a day to forget for Dregish Stephen Sweeney was their stand out player while Mark Gilloway, Mark Catterson and Stephen Breen accounted for their points.
