Drumragh bounced back from their defeat last week against Kildress with a very convincing win over Killyman. Paul Maguire was the main scoring threat for the Sarsfields with 3-3 to his name while midfielder Shane Devine contributed 2-1 to his team’s total. Scoring ace Shane Cleary landed two frees while Marty Taggart and Ronan Maguire also hit the net for the winners. Eamon Donnelly, Enda Mc Gahan and Conor O’ Rourke were all on target for Killyman.

Aghaloo’s good run continued on the road with a hard fought victory away to Glenelly. Only a single point separated the teams at the break with Aghaloo leading 1-7 to 1-6. However with Niall Mc Elroy in fine scoring form the men in red and black pulled away to win by six. Mc Elroy finished with 0-10 while Ruairi Mc Glone (1-2) and Conor Mullen (2) made significant contributions to their team’s total. Ronan O’Kane (4), Cormac Mc Bride (3) and Ronan Kirk (3) were among the points for the north Tyrone side while Rory Kennedy scored his team’s goal.

Errigal Ciaran Thirds hosted Clan na nGael on Saturday and enjoyed a comprehensive win over the north Tyrone side. An impressive first half saw them establish a 0-9 to 0-3 lead at the break before they pulled away in the second half to win comfortably 2-18 to 0-9. Caolan Tierney (1-3) and Aaron Mc Anenly (1-2) hit the net for the winners while Daniel Blake (7) and Ronan Tierney (4) hit eleven points between them. Danny Ball (0-4), Gareth Mc Dermott (0-2) and Aaron Devine (0-2) carried most of the scoring threat for the Clansmen.

Rock once again showed why they are fancied to do well this season with a very comprehensive win over Drumquin. Former county minor Diarmuid Carroll found the net twice for the home side while Aidan Mc Garrity hit 1-3. Liam Nugent (6) and Shane Murphy (3) hit nine points between them. On a day when the Wolfe Tones struggled all over the field Mattie Mc Dermott (3), Cormac Rodgers, Ciaran Mc Menamin and Sean Mc Donagh were among the points.

Niall Gavin was scorer in chief with an outstanding 3-7 including a first half penalty as Derrytresk put Fintona to the sword. Paudie Bell, Pat Campbell, Aidan Gavin, Ultan Mc Kee, Sean Slater and Cathal O’Neill also bagged points for the Hill Men. Aaron Mc Carney hit ten of his team’s points while Conor Mc Golderick and Aidan Donnelly were also on target for the Pearses.

Brackaville continue to impress as they defeated Dregish 3-15 to 1-09. A close and hard fought first half saw the Owen Roes open a 1-8 to 0-6 lead at the break with Dale Mc Sorley’s goal proving crucial. Jason O’Neill (1-3) bagged a goal for Brackaville early in the second half while Liam Linden struck his team’s third goal of the game. Mc Sorley finished top scorer on the day with 1-7. An improved all round display from Dregish saw Aidan O’Kane hit 0-5 and Conor Mc Hugh 1-1 for their team.

Kildress and Castlederg played out a very hard fought game before the Derg edged it late in injury time when ace forward Mark Corry converted a very difficult free to seal the win for the visitors on a final score of 1-11 to 1-10. On the day when his team came back from being 1-5 to 0-4 down at the break Sean Harper landed four points for the Derg with his fourth point particularly outstanding. PaddyLynch (3),  Mark Corry (3) and Darren Traynor (1-0) all contributed hugely to their team’s win. Philip Lennon and Mattie Mc Guigan hit nine points between them while Enda Mc Aleer got the Tones goal before the break.

Eskra made the long journey to the Loughshore but came away with the points after a convincing 2-13 to 1-8 win over Brocagh. Colm Mc Fall and Ciaran Donnelly pointed for the home side in a first half dominated by Eskra who reached the break leading 2-7 to 0-2. Things improved after the break for the home side with Ciaran Donnelly hitting 1-2 and Colm Mc Fall, Pearse Mc Aliskey and Brandon Mc Kiver getting among the points but Eskra’s first half score fest  ensured the points went west. Paul Turbett top scored for Eskra with 2-2 while Joe Mc Carroll (7), Shane Hackett (2) and Conor Meegan were among the points.
